This was my first visit to ASG Eye Hospital, Downtown, and I was genuinely impressed with the overall experience.
One thing that immediately stood out was the cleanliness and ambience of the hospital. Both floors are beautifully maintained with indoor plants and tasteful paintings, creating a calm and positive environment. As a patient, that sense of peace really makes a difference, and ASG has done a wonderful job in maintaining it.
My surgery was performed by Dr. Emee Gogoi, and I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor. She is friendly, patient, and takes the time to explain every aspect of your eye condition and the treatment in detail. The surgery was successful, and all my follow-up appointments are conducted on time till now. What I appreciated the most was that she never seemed rushed. She listened to all my concerns, answered every question without irritation, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. Doctors like her are rare, and she truly deserves a big shoutout.
The only suggestion I would like to make is regarding the cafeteria. Since consultations and follow-up visits can sometimes take a while, it would be great if the food options were expanded. At present, the menu is quite limited, with mostly sandwiches, one type of burger, and cake slices with Coffee and Tea. Having a wider variety of snacks and meals would make the experience even more comfortable for patients and their attendants.
Overall, I had a very positive experience at ASG Eye Hospital, Downtown, and would highly recommend it, especially Dr. Emee Gogoi, to anyone looking for quality eye care.

I highly recommended this hospital for eye treatment (cataract surgery). Both my aged parents and my aunt had their cataract surgery there. The doctors are very approachable and caring. They are patient enough to listen and cater to our needs. Dr Sandip Borgohain is one of the best ophthalmologists there and Dr. Satyen Deka too. The staff there is excellent who helped my parents with all the guidance from health insurance to appointments. The Centre is well maintained, and the procedures are well explained. Since my aged parents did everything by their own only with the help from hospital staff so from that we can understand the quality of the Centre and staff there. Special thanks to Mrs Kabita Barman Talukdar (senior housekeeping executive) for her assistance, cooperation and kindness. She helped my aged parents and aunt a lot during their treatment. My parents are very happy and have in fact made good acquaintances with her during the whole process. We wish best wishes to AGS eye hospital to keep up with their best services in future as well.

The eye hospital is well-organized, neat, and clean, and Dr. Satyan Deka is a very good doctor. The environment feels safe and hygienic, with a well-maintained canteen and clean washrooms, which adds to the overall comfort of patients.
However, you need to plan your visit in advance. It’s important to call and take an appointment, as there are specific days for OPD and separate days for surgeries, so plan accordingly before coming.
Also, be prepared for a long waiting time. Whenever you visit, keep at least 4 hours in hand. For example, if you arrive at 10 a.m., you may need to stay until at least 1 p.m or 2pm . If you are applying for insurance, keep an additional two hours, as the process can take longer.

From the moment I entered, the experience at this eye care center was exceptional. The doctors are extremely patient, knowledgeable, and truly care about the comfort of their patients. The staff members are very polite, supportive, and always ready to help. Even the security guard of the 2nd floor I think, was respectful and guided people properly, which really shows the overall professionalism of the place.
The clinic is very hygienic, clean, and well-maintained. It doesn’t even feel or smell like a typical hospital, which made me feel calm and comfortable throughout my visit.
I’ve had an eye treatment experience elsewhere before where things felt rushed and it caused a lot of unnecessary pain during laser treatment Coming here was completely different — everything was explained clearly, procedures were done calmly, and patient comfort was clearly a priority.
To be honest This is genuinely the best place for eye care. If you’re looking for safe, careful, and compassionate treatment, I would highly recommend this center.
