I recently visited ASG Eye Hospitals in Kalyan for my mother's cataract surgery, and the overall experience was highly professional and smooth from start to finish. One important note for first-time visitors — the hospital reception is located on the 3rd floor. From the moment we arrived, the process was well-coordinated. We were promptly received at the reception and had to wait only about 15 minutes, which is quite reasonable considering the patient volume. Following this, my mother underwent a series of preliminary eye check-ups in dedicated cabins, all handled efficiently by the medical staff. The hospital maintained a personalized medical file for the patient, which was used throughout the process. We were given clear and professional advice about the available types of intraocular lenses (IOLs) — both Indian (indigenous) and imported options — which helped us make an informed decision. One thing we especially appreciated was that the hospital allowed us to choose a surgery date that was convenient for us, which made the experience even more patient-friendly. On the day of the surgery, everything was carried out in a timely manner. After 30min-1hr preparation that involved the administration of various eye drops, the actual cataract surgery took only 15-20 minutes — and remarkably, it was performed without any needles or injections. It was also reassuring that a family member was allowed to stay with the patient throughout the process (except during the actual surgery, which is understandable). The surgical team was highly professional, and the hospital was equipped with modern, state-of-the-art technology. Post-surgery, my mother was able to walk out on her own, wearing UV-protection sunglasses, and experienced no discomfort. Overall, I would highly recommend ASG Eye Hospital in Kalyan for anyone considering cataract surgery or other eye treatments. Their blend of professionalism, advanced medical care, and patient-centered approach truly stood out.
